Yes, the February edition of Another Day in Paradise is out! The majority of the articles are available for viewing on-line at http://www.adip.info, but if you want the full effect of the mag in all it's color, with the ability to view all the photos and sections that are included in the magazine, you'll have to pick up the print copy. These are available for free in Ixtapa, Zihuatanejo, Troncones and as far afield as Patzcuaro and Morelia, Michoacan. You can even purchase a subscription, if you live elsewhere and you want it delivered to your home. Details are available on the site. http://www.adip.info

What's happening around town

SAILFEST EVENTS

Sailfest 2006 is in full swing right now... don't miss the great Chili Cookoff downtown on Saturday afternoon on Cuauhtemoc Street, and the Sail Parade on Sunday, starting at 11 a.m. Full information and schedule is available on the website at http://www.zihuasailfest.com.

BLUES - LIVE

The Blue Mamou is still featuring the music of Mighty Mike Schermer as well as saxophonist, Terry Hanck - only a few more nights before they leave us, so don't forget to drop on by. Mike is here through Monday February 6th, Terry through Tuesday February 7th, and on Wednesday February 8th we can welcome back John Nemeth with his blues voice and harmonica.

JEWELRY SHOWING

On February 11th is the opening of an Arthur Koby jewelry show, put on by Galart at the Hotel Villa del Sol on La Ropa beach in Zihuatanejo. Opening cocktail starts at 7 pm.

FASHION SHOW & BRUNCH

February 12th will bring us a Fashion Show and Sunday Campagne Brunch buffet at Coconut's Restaurant. Local designers will be showing their creations in evening wear, beach wear and lingerie as well as accessories. A raffle at the event will be in benefit of the Zihuatanejo SPCA. Brunch begins at 11 a.m., fashion show at 12:30 noon. $300 pesos/person. For reservations call 554-2518.

A NIGHT OF AZTEC CULTURE

A Night of Aztec Culture will be celebrated on February 16 at La Cala Restaurant, Puerto Mio from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Enjoy dance and poetry presentations by local students, live music and a silent auction. Cocktails and appetizers will be served. Proceeds go to the Netzahualcoyotl School project (website: http://www.netzaproject.org). Tickets are $400 pesos ($40 USD). SPECIAL PICANTE SAIL & SNORKEL CRUISE

On Sunday, February 19th, take a trip on the Picante Sailing catamaran, and while enjoying the sail and snorkel cruise, help support the 3rd annual Zihuatanejo International Guitar Festival in benefit of music education and awareness in our community. A sail on the Picante is a fabulous outing and snorkeling off Playa Manzanillo is the perfect way to experience the ocean and underwater life. The 4-hour day cruise is only $450 pesos per person, includes refreshments and snorkeling gear, and is great fun! Tickets available at Rick's Bar or email info@zihuafest.info for more information.
